this page provides instructions for creating low pass filtered sentences for PreFunc.

Download Praat

1. Log into the Harvard drive

Open Praat script for low pass filtering

1. Open Praat

2. In the Praat toolbar, click Praat, then Open script...

note: if you don't see the toolbar, click anywhere in the Praat Object Window to display the it.

1. Navigate to this directory: /Volumes/Fas-Phyc-PEB-Lab/experimental_projects/PreFunc/lowpass_sentences/

2. Click 'Generate_LPF' file to open the script.

This is the script window for the Generate LPF script

1. Change the dirFolders$ and outFolders$ name to the follow

dirFolder$ = "/Volumes/Fas-Phyc-PEB-Lab/experimental_projects/PreFunc/lowpass_sentences/unaltered"

outFolder$ = "/Volumes/Fas-Phyc-PEB-Lab/experimental_projects/PreFunc/lowpass_sentences"

1. In the script window, Click Run, then Run

2. The script is complete when all of the three low-pass filtered files are generated.
