Signing up as volunteer DPS

Visit https://www.dpsnc.net/volunteer and on the left side of the screen, click Register to Volunteer.

Answer the questions about yourself. For the checkboxes, fill them out as below:

• Please specify the school(s) or locations(s) where you are planning to volunteer

  • Central Services-Staff Development Ctr.

• Please check all student groups you would like to serve

  • All Elementary

• Please check all activities that interest you

  • Before and/or Afterschool

• Select all academic subjects in which you have professional expertise and experience:

  • Science

• Select all industries in which you have professional expertise and experience:

  • Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics

• Please indicate if your volunteer service is affiliated with the following:

  • College/University

When your registration has been completed and you've gotten a confirmation email, send Hallie a picture of your Covid Vax card (and/or relevant records if you don't have your card) by email. Hallie will forward your vaccine record and name to contacts at DPS who can begin the background check process.

Last step: when you receive an email that says you have been APPROVED as a volunteer, please take a screenshot or forward that email to Hallie.
