# Six Month (Initial) In-Lab Visit

## Before the visit

1. Get Parking pass
2. Prepare the Paperwork (Consent Form, Demographics Form, Vocab Exposure & Babbling Questionnaire, have MCDI and Motor just for explanation)
3. Make sure that the Eyetracking machine is on. Record the whiteboard with subject number\_visit number and date. (i.e. 07\_10 5/25/15)
4. Check the calendar to see if the subject will be run on Semcat or Picture Book study this month and inform Elika.
5. Get the parking pass and wait outside 15 minutes before the visit.

## Explanation and Paperwork

Prepare clipboard with:

1. Consent (do before the study; all else can be before or after)
2. MCDI \[online link]
3. Exposure survey \[verbally asked during visit]
4. Motor survey \[online link]
5. Demographics Survey
6. Babbling survey (administered by experimenter or RA)
7. Explain procedures to parent: a. Overall Seedlings procedure b. After the consent form has been signed: explain in more detail the eye-tracking study procedure
8. Set up experiment in testing room and turn display around before bringing parent in room. <br>

## After the visit

1. Try on hats and make a note on their home visit event on the Google Calendar.
2. Ask them when they can do the audio recording. Give them the recording equipment if they can do it before their home visit that month.
3. Confirm their home visit using the Seedlings Google Calendar.
4. Fill out receipt and pay the parent.
5. Escort to car and get parking pass back.
6. Make sure the babbling & vocab exposure surveys are labeled and placed in the "TO BE FILED" binder in the staff room.
