FileZilla

GUI for working with files on DCC

Instead of copying files to-from the cluster using the terminal, install a GUI called FileZilla that will let you simply drag and drop them. Here is what it looks like:

Detailed instructions on how to use FileZilla to move files between your computer and DCC.

• You can also make folders, delete files, etc. by right-clicking.

• When you select a folder it might take FileZilla a second to show you the contents.

• You can browse your local disk in the left half of the window but it is much easier to use Finder instead.

Setup:

1. Install from here.

2. Open.

3. Follow the steps in the screenshot below to save a connection to DCC.

4. Click connect.

5. Navigate to the VTC/ folder on the right.

6. Press Button 1 again, add a bookmark, and name it `VTC`. If you connect by clicking that bookmark, FileZilla will automatically navigate to VTC/.

7. Drag and drop files between Finder on your computer and area 2 in the screenshot above. (you can also drag to one of the folders)
