CLAS looking time coding training for RAs

Looking time training is similar to coding HPP, but is simpler as it involved only whether or not baby is looking at the camera.

• To start your training, go to Blabshare: \experimental_projects\CLAS\LT_training

• Under the LT_training create a new folder with your initials

• Open the blank_files folder, copy one of the ELAN files and save it with your initials in your folder

• Make sure ELAN is in Segmentation Mode, go to Options -> Segmentation Mode

• Make sure your settings are set to one keystroke per annotation, and that the delayed mode checkbox is selected and set to 200

• Turn off the audio and segment! Press enter when child is looking at the screen and stop pressing when they stop. Press enter again when the child looks back.

• Save the file with your initials in the filename in your folder.

• Move on to the next file.

Important! You may have to copy the file and video to your own hard drive to prevent server lag. If you do this, you MUST copy the file back onto Blabshare and delete the local copy immediately when you've completed the coding. No participant information may live on your computer.
